  5. Japanese Spitz Australia are thrilled to unveil something we've eagerly been working on behind the scenes for quite a while. We have been successful in establishing a relationship with Number 1 (Australia), the company responsible for their flagship brand, ZIWI Peak, as well as a selection of other innovative Australian brands including Bell & Bone, NORM, ONE (with everything!), Shy Tiger, Simply Seaweed, The Paw Grocer and The Pet Project. Who are Number 1 (Australia)? Number 1 (Australia) was established in 2013 and are dedicated to delivering top-tier brands for canine and feline consumption. As a full-service distributor of natural pet products locally sourced from Australia and New Zealand, they take pride in their consistent growth and rapid expansion of the products they represent. How can you get your hands on these products? We're extremely excited to be given the opportunity to sell all of these products to members of this community! We are still working on how to best set this up, as there are small hurdles I need to get around using this software and to fine-tune the logistics. It also opens us up to having competitions and special offers in the future which will make being a member of this community that much more exciting. To get the ball rolling though, please let us know if you are interested in any of these products as I would really appreciate gathering expressions of interest before finalising the first few orders blindly. Join us in celebration! Join us in celebrating this milestone and be among the first to give your Japanese Spitz the balanced and nutritious diet they really deserve. Your feedback and support will be valuable in shaping what this community can offer its members, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the community! My wife @Jess and I are first-time Japanese Spitz owners and after joining a few Facebook groups, we found it difficult trawling through the many posts contained within these groups to find the information we were really seeking, not to mention the lack of organisation Facebook groups possess when it comes to large amounts of information. I have created many forums in the past and thought about creating this community for a while, so I bit the bullet and here we are! 😅 Introducing our own little ball of fur, Aspen, our perfect little puppy all the way over the ditch from New Zealand, thanks to Kylie (KTRIO). He settled in comfortably from the very first day, ate well with no fuss and despite not wanting to go for a walk after his long (and early morning) journey over, he did so well soon after. He has such a positive temperament and is so affectionate. Aspen is now 3 years old after celebrating his birthday on 4 June, and has recently welcomed a baby human sister, Chloe, into the world. He adores her, and you can really notice the love a Japanese Spitz has for its human companions. He is so gentle and alert, always seeking one of us when Chloe makes noises or cries. We're so glad to have him a part of the family and we look forward to all the many more adventures we will have together in the future!
  7. Perhaps the most commonly asked question amongst any dog owner. If you use multiple brands, pick the one you use most often and tell us what other brand/s you also use. This is going to be one of the most common topics in this forum and will allow people to do some light reading so they can be their own judge. Votes are public and you can change your vote if you do change to another brand. Aspen was eating Black Hawk since he was a puppy, and after we adopted him, we decided to continue with it. We have found Black Hawk ideal in providing exactly what his diet requires and always rotate flavours just to keep things as exciting as possible for him. We feed a mix between dry and wet food, and his favourite flavour right now is the grain-free Tasmanian Salmon. I'm keen to see if he likes or prefers something from the ZIWI range. On a side note, a few days ago I received a survey from Black Hawk so I'm looking forward to what new flavours they bring to their range. What brand do you use and why? I would love to include every single brand currently on the market but went with the most common and recently discussed. If there is one missing, please vote for other and join the discussion (I'll add it to the list if there is enough talk about it)!

Hi everyone, and welcome to the Japanese Spitz Australia community! My wife and I are proud parents of a two-year old named Aspen and having been a part of other enthusiast clubs and forums before, I spent some time searching for something similar in the Japanese Spitz scene. I stumbled upon a few Facebook groups that are doing a fantastic job, but I wanted to take things one step further. The concept behind Japanese Spitz Australia is actually pretty simple; an Australian-based Japanese Spitz community embracing everything Japanese Spitz and welcoming like-minded people from all around the world. I intend to make this a central hub for all owners, breeders and enthusiasts to come together to discuss everything there is to know about the Japanese Spitz from health and nutrition to toys and supplies. There is quite a lot behind the idea of this community including access to exclusive discounts on products with various providers; I just can't wait to get the ball rolling! For now I am concentrating on getting the site fully functional for everyone. I would really appreciate any feedback and suggestions you can provide and please do spread the word! Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing you around the community. And for those that have never used a forum before, you can take our tour!
